What’s The Difference Between All of These Wire Finishes?

Powder Coating is when we take your wire part and apply epoxy powder in a variety of colors.  Powder Coating is a practical and durable finish that is one of our most popular.  Vinyl finishes are applied by dipping the wire part into melted vinyl and then baking it solid in the oven.  Plastisol is a thicker version of vinyl and is used most commonly for materials and products that need a very thick coat, like the handles on pliers or other tools.  Electropolish is also one of our most popular choices, although it is not technically a finish.  It is when the top layer of the stainless steel is removed and then polished with an electric current and chemical rinse to give an unbeatable shine and smoothness.  Nickel, zinc and brass are the metal finishes we provide that can be applied to all of our wire products.  If you don’t see the finish you want on our list, let us know, and we will do our best to get the finish you are looking for.
